Visit Tallinn visit

24.04.2023 Precious Plastic Estonia held a workshop for Visit Tallinn guests from Finland.

We talked about how Precious Plastic community around the world is drawing people’s attention to recycling plastic waste activities. Also we showed our machines that we use in our work and demonstrated various recycling techniques.

During the workshop participants made cardholders and earrings from shredded bottle caps for themselves.

Cardholders can nicely hold the Tallinn Card, isn’t it?

City camp “Näita keelt” in Vivita

City camp “Näita keelt” in Vivita

This week Vivita hosts the city camp “Näita keelt!” and yesterday Jegor demonstrated the possibilities of recycling to the participants of the event.

Jegor told kids about the problem of abundance of plastic in everyday life. And showed how we can reduce using it and recycle disposable things such as bottle caps or bags into something useful and beaufitul.

The camp participants went through all the steps of plastic recycling: they washed it, sorted it by color, shredded it using a special machine. And, of course, made several products (carabiners, earrings, pendants, key chains and stylish wallets) on their own using injector and melting press.

Our guests are participants of youth camps dedicated to the theme of landscape art, and also in their to-do lists they get acquainted with the world of recycling and the possibilities of using recycled things in their creativity.

Workshop with teachers

22.03.2023 we held a workshop for teachers working with children in kindergartens – participants of the international project on the interaction of educators from different countries.

We told the guests in detail about the possibilities of collecting and sorting plastic, as well as about the methods of processing it that we use during the creation of our products.

At the practical part of the workshop, one group of participants learned how to make earrings from HDPE plastic – shredded bottle caps, and the other group made coin pouches from plastic bags.
